EMA Team Interviews – Lisa Ward

Following on with our series of meeting the team, we recently spoke to Lisa Ward who has joined EMA in the last couple of months as Operations Manager.

As we continue our rapid growth in providing Secure, Private and NEPTS Ambulance Services across Dorset and the South, we welcome Lisa in the new role of Operations Manager to manage and develop all activities involved in producing the high standards of the services we offer.

Lisa spent a little time with us sharing her journey and why she loves working with the EMA Patient Transport team.

Introduce yourself and share an interesting fact with us

I am Lisa Ward. I am a people centric manager with over 7 years’ experience in patient transport services.  I am a supporter of my local football team and when I am not working you can often find me watching them home or away.

What is your role at EMA Patient Transport?

Operations Manager – My Role is to ensure that we are operating as efficiently as possible. That includes ensuring that we have safe and effective staff and procedures.

What experience and/or training do you have within the patient transport arena?

I have worked in numerous roles throughout my career in non-emergency patient transport services. For the past 3 years, I have managed a large PTS contract in Dorset. I have been fortunate to have experienced many elements of the industry including crew and dispatch. I also have been a CQC registered manager for over 2 years.

Why did you choose to work for EMA Patient Transport?

The vision is brave, and I am genuinely excited to be a part of that.

What is your favourite thing about working at EMA Patient Transport?

The sense of team. The pride, that’s demonstrated daily, in the work we do.
