EMA Launch Our New Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service

In recent months, myself and the rest of the team have been delighted to launch our new Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service.

Under this service, we safely, securely and comfortably transport patients who for medical reasons cannot travel through other means of transport to hospital, doctor or clinical appointments.

Why Have We Launched This Service?

Over recent years, we have built great and long lasting working relationships with a variety of clients, from healthcare providers through to local authorities and other organisations requiring secure mental health transport services.

During this time, our clients have also been enquiring about a patient transport service for those individuals who cannot travel easily on their own due to medical reasons.

These conversations prompted us to consider the ways in which we could develop our services to meet these needs and help to address their clear need for this type of transport service.

Due to our fleet of bespoke transport vehicles, we had the ability to provide this support with a range of vehicles that are accessible for both wheelchair users and those requiring the use of a stretcher during transport.

This type of service is complimentary to our Secure Mental Health services and so creating the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service was seamless and a natural progression for the business.

What Makes This Service Different?

Our main priority with this service is to provide safe and professional patient transport for a wide variety of appointments and visits. These include, but are not limited to: outpatient appointments, day care, planned admissions and discharges, inter-hospital transfers.

To achieve this, we conduct regular checks and detailed due diligence into the service we provide and how we deliver to ensure all procedures are compliant, including compliance with CQC standards.

Our team plays a crucial role in enabling us to provide the safest and most professional service possible and so, we have a stringent vetting process in place to ensure we have only the best qualified and experienced individuals working within our team and operating our services.

Our staff also undergo enhanced DBS checks to ensure our patients are safeguarded and they also undergo expert training to ensure they can support all of our patients and their complex needs.
